The Story of Pincurls

My mother used to put pincurls in my hair as a child. I would wake up the morning with a head full of every which way curls. I always thought they were much cuter pinned up than the after effects of staying in over night. During grad school I was searching for my artistic voice and the memories of the pincurls and feeling insecure spoke to me. So I started drawing that inner child.

I have lived in a couple cities, worked for an advertisting agency in Kansas City, Mo. Moved back home to get my MFA at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Then I was drove across country in my honda to intern in Santa Cruz, CA with Sabrina Ward Harrison. After those three months, I drove back home and married the love of my life. Now we have a little girl Sofia. We are living in Lincoln, NE and I am working as an art director and an illustrator.
